Incredible views and great hunting make Pineywoods Farm one of the best recreational places of its size in East Texas. Located one hour and 45 minutes southeast of Dallas, and two hours and 45 minutes north of Houston, this Anderson County property has it all. 71,000 pine seedlings were planted in December of 2011 with an estimated future value at today’s prices of $185,000. Three deer blinds and feeders can go with the property. A great weekend cabin built on a slab with electricity and water make it a comfortable place to stay if you don’t want to join the kids in the tent. A firepit just outside is made of stone gathered from the property itself. Brushy Creek runs through the middle of the property with high ridges on each side. Great duck hunting is found in the flooded bottom with numerous openings in the flooded timber. The deer have been managed for the last 10 years with protein and selective harvest. Just like with any bottom land in East Texas, hogs are a regular also. Five minutes from one of the best public golf courses in Texas, Pine Dunes. From Tyler, go south on Hwy 155, six miles south of Frankston to CR 319. Take a right (see Pine Dunes Golf Resort signs). Go past the golf course and down the hill until you see the dam of a lake on your left. Go across the dam of the lake on CR 319 W and up through the intersection on the other side and around a curve. Second right will be Deer Hollow, or CR 3196. Take it to the bottom of the hill to a T with Brushy Circle. Take a left and follow it to the gate that dead ends into the property. Please call for the combination. You must be accompanied by myself or another licensed realtor.
